Exquisite sound, outstanding musicianship and inspiring performances are the hallmarks of the award-winning SoSco Duo. Known for their sensitive interpretations and polished presentation, SoSco duo has rapidly distinguished itself as one of the preeminent small ensembles in Arizona.
SoSco Duo (Laura Strickland, flute and Alex Mack, guitar) is a popular acoustic duo who has played over 500 performances at over 100 unique venues since the inception of the group in 2014. Having both earned music degrees from top music schools, they are equally skilled at performing a wide range of styles including classical, contemporary, standard songs, oldies, Broadway favorites, jazz, folk, Spanish, Celtic and other world music.
SoSco Duo been named “Best Local Band/Musician” for three years in a row by Arizona Foothills Magazine. They were nominated for the Governor’s Arts Award presented by the Arizona Citizens for the Arts in partnership with the Office of the Governor.

SoSco guitar and flute was amazing. I am the Activity Director at a senior living community in Goodyear AZ. I had them come to play and entertain for our residents that range from independent to memory care. The music was beautiful and very relaxing. My residents loved the classical concert and have asked for more. I was very impressed with their professionalism and the care they showed our residents. I recently hired SoSco Duo to come and perform at our Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics event. This was a well-attended event of over 100 people. This lively duo arrived early to set up and were a delight. The music was beautifully played and selections were appropriate, fun, and made for a thoroughly enjoyable gathering. They worked together very well and without them being there, I suspect initial interactions would have been less jovial and open. I would highly recommend this duo to anyone.
