Merna Lewis is a Colorado native with a rich musical heritage spanning at least four generations. Every melody born from years of unprecedented passion, education, tenacious dedication and persistence, she is a force behind the fiddle. You don’t just listen to Merna play the fiddle; you feel her play the fiddle. Highest accolades include two-time nomination International Western Music Association’s Musician of the Year; and featured in a number of media publications including Fiddler Magazine: Play Fiddle Play, Winter 2002 edition; featured article regarding Merna leading Aunt Bettie Freel’s legacy, written by Joe Carr, and The Human Interest Story The Becoming of the Barefoot Fiddler in 2020.
