Brien Engel Glass Harpist
Atlanta, GA, USA
Virtuoso on the Magical Glass Harp For All Occasions and Settings!
As an enthusiast of unusual sounds coaxed out of everyday objects, Brien Engel's main passion is the glass harp, an instrument made of 50 wine glasses which he plays by rubbing his fingers across their rims. This enchanting art form dates back to the 18th century, and Brien is one of very few current full time practitioners in the world. Brien has toured several times in Asia and the Middle East, and brought his musical craft to corporate events all over the US. He's appeared in commercials for the beverage and hospitality industries, and recently was on How To With John Wilson (HBO), and ABC's "To Tell The Truth" game show, where he fooled everyone... by telling the truth!

Testimonials
Jane Engdahl
Sonoma County Fair - Special Events Coordinator
Brien Engel brought a totally unique form of entertainment to our Fair, and it was a resounding success. All too often, when booking grounds acts for Fairs, we find ourselves choosing between the same types of acts, year after year. The Glass Harp is music, history, science and entertainment, all packaged into three shows a day. I highly recommend it.
Cheri Adams
Chautauqua Preservation Society, Waxahachie, TX - President
Brien is a wonderful performer and a great human being! Thoroughly enjoyed meeting him when he came to perform at our Chautauqua event in September.

Brien brought his talents to the Morris Museum of Art for one of our large Family Sunday events and wowed a full house of spectators of all ages. His performance was not only entertaining, but filled with history, science, humor, and dazzling sounds. Mr. Engel was a pleasure to deal with every step of the way and a real professional. I can’t recommend him enough for similar projects!
