Benson has worked her entire career with nonprofit organizations including the Center for Nonprofit Management, Alliance for Better Nonprofits, and the YWCA Knoxville / Tennessee Valley. Her experience includes organizational and leadership development and change, program development, marketing, human resources, board governance, and strategic planning.
