The Blue Roses is a contemporary dance band with a profound love and passion for all things that make you move and/or groove. Based in Austin, their members have graced stages throughout the world and take their Texan-attitude with them everywhere they go. With roots in soul and funk much like the Half Moons (their LA-based counterpart), their specialty lies in connecting the dots from the timeless sounds of Marvin Gaye to the modern soul of Sharon Jones. They seamlessly move between and mix up genres, all while keeping the dance floor alive and connected. Despite their love of funk and soul, The Blue Roses repertoire list expands far beyond these narrow genres, moving through the decades to find songs that satisfy broader crowds of varying tastes and styles.
