Tia Penny is an Arizona/California based singer-songwriter who is a versatile guitarist, mastering the classical, acoustic, and electric guitar. Recognized by SPIN Magazine as a “guitar prodigy”, she is known for her velvety voice and 60s/70s inspired sound. She began her professional music journey as a TEDx performer/speaker for Grand Canyon University and has been recently recognized as a First in State classical guitarist in Arizona.
Her sound captures young and old alike. Tia honors true musicality when she plays complex classics from Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, yet incorporates modern artists such as Billie Eilish and Coldplay. She has performed for organizations including Teen Lifeline, Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation, and Discount Tire with over 1000 attendees.
Her artistry has attracted brand partnerships for Venus Guitars, been gifted a Master Craftsman Guitar, and recently partnered with HiSong studio. She released her six-song EP 'Reflection' in 2025.

I first met Tia four years ago. At that time I could tell she was well advanced with her guitar skills and her confidence. She was “years ahead” of seasoned players.
It was then I decided that we needed to form a working relationship and that she needed to be seen and heard by the people in the Phoenix metro area.
One of her first gigs was at the “Scottsdale Art Walk”. Usually when musicians perform at the art walk people stop momentarily, listen for a few minutes and move on. When Tia would perform people would gather and stay to hear her entire set of music.
Since then Tia has honed her skills with hours and hours of practice and has performed at various venues and festivals through out the Southwest in front of 100’s of people. Her skills and confidence at an early age has been a huge advantage to move her along quickly.
