Women-led creative workshops for professional women

Myth Movement supports professional women through dynamic creative workshops that leverage mindfulness practices and storytelling tools to enhance self-awareness, self-regulation, and self-leadership in order to access our truest, healthiest and most vibrant selves. Designed by women for women, our workshops tap into serious play to harness our creative power and to reconnect with the wisdom of our bodies. What are the myths that need to move in order for our true potential to be realized? Where many storytelling workshops emphasize skill-building through a final performance or final story, our workshops focus on process and embodied practice. Our story-based exercises support mental and emotional well-being, resilience, community building, and soulful self-leadership. Additional workshops drawing on storytelling and songwriting are in development, and we welcome opportunities to customize experiences based on client themes and needs.

EMBODYING ARCHETYPES WORKSHOP
In our primary workshop, we guide participants through imaginative meditation, embodied exploration, and storytelling exercises to explore the ways our creative power is impacted by the archetypes we embody. Participants will identify stories and archetypes that have supported their growth in the past and those that will support their desired transformation. Our workshops focus on process and embodied practice.

STORY AND SONG WORKSHOP
Using storytelling exercises to bring awareness to the narratives that are shaping our experience of life and work, we guide each participant to identify a more empowering narrative. From the new story, they are able to create an affirmation, which we then shape into a unique “affirmation song” for them to take away.

Testimonials
Jackie
PRA - Regional Vice President
It was so refreshing to be in a room full of women talking about how they see themselves currently, and how they want to see themselves. It was a great way to learn more about who I work closely with, and how we can lift each other up to reach our personal goals.

Armstrong McGuire - Managing Director
I appreciated the opportunity to be still. To be led. To connect with myself and be vulnerable with myself. Perhaps that sounds strange, but when you are so focused on others it can be difficult to be vulnerable with yourself.

Teramind - Head of Product Marketing
Thank you for this space to interrupt the flow of reflexive action at work and make room for internal course correction. This is a practice I intend to take with me starting tomorrow morning when I open my laptop for the first time.

Wheaton College - Wheaton in Chicago Director
The Myth Movement workshop is an embodied practice of reorienting oneself in your work, using body movements and archetypes to consider stress and burnout as well as refreshment. I appreciated Johanna and Christa's ability to design and lead a Zoom workshop through an unusually embodied lens of varying formats, prompts and structures to foster a place of connection and refreshment, together and individually.
