Smiley Rojas

Smiley Rojas is a Ceremonial Artist who channels Medicinal Hip-Hop, weaving rhythm, poetry, and spirit into experiences of connection, healing, and awakening. Born in New York City to Dominican parents and now based in Mexico, Smiley developed Medicinal Hip-Hop as a bridge between music, healing, and human connection. Through bilingual songs and immersive live performances, Smiley invites audiences to move, feel, reflect, and connect more deeply with themselves, each other, and the world around them. His performances blend Hip-Hop, soulful lyricism, uplifting rhythms, movement, call-and-response, and moments of reflection. His live offering is also evolving into an audiovisual experience, pairing his music with nature-inspired projection work. Smiley has performed at more than 20 festivals and gatherings across the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, and Costa Rica, including Oregon Country Fair, Envision Festival, PlayThink Festival, Restaura Festival, Convergence Wellness Campout, Gaia's Gathering, MoonBloom Festival, and Zoma Festival. He has opened for Shanin Blake and has been invited by Mose to perform live vocals and lyrical flow alongside his Cacao Dance DJ sets in Mexico and Guatemala. In addition to performing, Smiley is an experienced bilingual Master of Ceremonies, having hosted festival stages and helped create connection and flow between artists, audiences, and different parts of an event. Smiley also facilitates Authentic Relating experiences, helping groups and teams build trust, deepen connection, and practice more authentic communication. His debut album, CHANNELING, was released in October 2025 and features 11 songs created over four years, moving through themes of breath, nature, gratitude, love, and liberation.
