Born on August 21, 1982, in St. Louis, MO, Miles developed a passion for music at a young age, picking up the guitar at 12. His musical journey took a significant turn at 15, when he began studying under a renowned jazz master, and by 18, he was performing professionally in southwest Florida. After studying classical guitar during his undergraduate years, Miles moved to Chicago, where he played professionally for a decade (2006-2016) while earning a B.A. in history from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2010. Specializing in acoustic finger-style guitar, his performances feature an eclectic mix of blues, bluegrass, folk, classic country, and rock 'n' roll. His deep respect for traditional American roots music defines his sound. Now based in the Bluffton/Hilton Head, SC area, Miles has been performing professionally since 2022 . Known for his ability to connect with audiences, he tailors his sets to match the mood and preferences of those in attendance.
