Jay Filson

Jay is a one-man band who can bring the sound of a five piece with just a couple instruments and his loop pedal. However, he's also a softy who has garnered millions of streams with his acoustic covers. Born and raised in the Midwest, Jay made the move to Tennessee when he was named the musician-in-residence at a new high-rise development in downtown Nashville. Shortly after, Jay was announced as a top 3 finalist in the 20th annual NewSong Music Performance and Songwriting Competition in Asheville, North Carolina. Since moving to Nashville, Jay has performed at over 100 colleges and universities across the country. He is comfortable performing in all environments and can tailor his set to provide a high energy or easy listening experience. His greatest strengths are the power and ease with which he sings and the personality and humor he brings to every performance.
