Jay Filson

Jay is a one-man band who can bring the sound of a five piece with just a couple instruments and his loop pedal. However, he's also a softy who loves a good acoustic piano ballad. Born and raised in the Midwest, Jay made the move to Tennessee when he was named the musician-in-residence at a new high-rise development in downtown Nashville. Shortly after, Jay was announced as a top 3 finalist in the 20th annual NewSong Music Performance and Songwriting Competition in Asheville, North Carolina. He is comfortable performing in all environments and can tailor his set to provide a high energy or easy listening experience. His greatest strengths are the power and ease with which he sings and the personality and humor he brings to every performance.
