I’m Shaun Dougherty, a versatile guitarist blending Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, and Latin influences into seamless solo instrumental music. Based in Austin, I bring a fresh and laid-back sound to cocktail bars, speakeasies, restaurants, and brunch spots—creating the perfect background music that enhances the atmosphere without interrupting conversation. I compose and record all my own backing tracks, bringing a personal touch to every performance. Over the years, I’ve performed in a wide variety of settings across cities like Boston, Wilmington (DE), Philadelphia (PA), New York City, Las Vegas, and now Austin, Texas. My repertoire includes a diverse range of covers, including "Dream a Little Dream," "Seven Nation Army," "Wicked Games," "Pink Pony Club," "Bad Guy," and "No Ordinary Love," all reimagined with my signature jazzy twist.

Professional and fun - Shaun was a pleasure to work with and was a mainstay at our venue for over 6 years. Shaun performed solo blues, jazz, and rock guitar during our brunch performances. The room is not always an easy one to please, but Shaun was beloved by our regulars. He’s also extremely easy to book and schedule because of his professionalism and flexibility.
