I started with typewriter poetry by setting up my vintage typewriter, Octavia Olympia Butler, at Brooklyn Bridge Park for a social art project called A Poem, From Me To You. Through this experience, I have been able to connect deeply with strangers in just a few minutes. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, and created an unforgettable memory together with a physical memento to mark its happening. I’d love to bring the heartwarming experience to your next event. Your guests can approach me at anytime during your event and I’ll ask them to tell me about whatever is on their heart/mind at the moment. I’ll usually ask some follow up questions, then create the magic that is their personalized poem. Clients have commented on the uplifting and warm nature of my poems.
