Amani Roberts, aka DJ AmRo, is a DJ who understands music from the inside out. A Washington, D.C., native, he grew up immersed in a region renowned for producing some of the most distinctive sounds in American musical history. That foundation shaped everything. A graduate of Howard University, Berklee College of Music, and the world-renowned Scratch Academy, DJ AmRo brings a level of musicological fluency to the decks that most DJs simply don't have. He doesn't just know what sounds good - he knows why it works, where it comes from, and how it moves an audience on a deeper level. His sets are rooted in R&B, hip-hop, and Pop music, but never confined by them. As a genre blender and mood-intelligent DJ, Amani reads a room the way a skilled storyteller reads an audience - with precision, patience, and an eye toward the arc of the experience.
