Ralph Russell

Ralph performs a wide range of music—from jazz and smooth standards to pop, rock, funk, dance, and today's favorites. Every event is different, and Ralph adjusts his performance to fit the room. During cocktails or dinner, he can provide sophisticated, conversation-friendly background music. When it's time to bring up the energy, he can step forward and turn the saxophone into part of the action. Ralph has performed at major Chicago venues and events, including the Palmer House and multi-day trade shows at McCormick Place. His compact, self-contained setup includes professional sound and high-quality backing tracks, making it easy to add live music without a complicated production setup. Solo Saxophone: From elegant background music to an energetic featured performance, Ralph tailors the music and volume to the event. Sax + DJ: For selected events, Ralph can team with a DJ for a high-energy combination of live saxophone and DJ entertainment. Piano: Ralph is also available for piano lounge music and selected ceremony or cocktail-hour performances. Whether he's creating atmosphere in the background or standing in the middle of the celebration with the saxophone, Ralph's goal is simple: read the room, play the right music, and make the event better.
