The Lilliston Effect

The Lilliston Effect is a Nashville-based instrumental groove band delivering a sophisticated, soulful alternative to DJs, generic cover bands, and high-volume party bands. Inspired by Booker T. & the M.G.’s, The Meters, James Brown, Stax, Chess, and classic Memphis/Muscle Shoals rhythm sections, our sound centers on old-school R&B guitar, soul-jazz organ, syncopated saxophone, and a deep-pocket rhythm section. We perform primarily original material, supported by select covers that fit seamlessly into our aesthetic. For corporate events, cocktail hours, client receptions, company celebrations, private parties, and holiday events, we create music that enhances the room without overwhelming it. We’re professional, flexible, and easy to work with—able to provide tasteful background music or step forward for a featured performance.
