Kathy Buskett is an artist, illustrator and live-event entertainer with more than 27 years of professional experience, but putting a marker in her hand is only the beginning of what she can do. Kathy spent ten years working in Las Vegas, entertaining with her fast & flattering caricatures at casinos, conventions and some of the largest corporate events in the world. At CES at the Las Vegas Convention Center, she helped lead a team of 26 digital caricature artists for the launch of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy Note. It became the largest digital caricature event of its kind, with lines wrapping around the exhibit, and Kathy’s work and career have been featured in industry publications. Today, Kathy brings that experience to corporate events, conventions, trade shows, weddings and private celebrations nationwide. She is known for being exceptionally fast, engaging with a crowd and creating flattering artwork that makes people feel celebrated rather than lampooned. Her talents extend well beyond caricature. A formally trained fine artist who majored in painting in college, Kathy also offers live event and wedding painting, wedding guest illustration, digital art, silhouettes, murals, custom portraits, children’s book and commercial illustration, and detailed linework for coloring books, comics and print. Kathy is also an experienced art educator, creative team-building facilitator and Christian inspirational speaker for women’s events and retreats. Whether she’s drawing hundreds of convention guests, painting a wedding as it unfolds, leading a room through a creative experience or illustrating a story, Kathy brings the same combination of artistry, warmth, professionalism and decades of experience to every project.
