Through a short conversation, a generate an on-the-spot poem written on my vintage 1960's chrome typewriter. I think of these as a snapshot of a moment, a feeling, a memory in the form of the written word. Recipients of these poems have framed them, kept them on their fridge, or even had the words tattooed on their bodies. The experience of writing it in front of the person's eyes as they tell me about their life is as special as the finished product itself. I have typed live poems at events for such brands as Fendi, Faragamo, Free People, Brugal, Armadillo World Headquarters and beyond. I enjoy everything from corporate events looking to infuse their parties with magic and possibility, to house parties, engagements, weddings, baby showers, and more. Every occasion is different but the opportunity for human connection through the act of creating poetry, remains. I am also a storyteller and an actor/performer, often combining including poems in the telling of stories to punctuate moments of importance or relay a feeling that traditional sentences can't convey.
