Jessa V

Jessa V brings the polish of a sophisticated New York vocalist together with the warmth, personality and spontaneity of a true live entertainer. With a remarkable four-octave-plus range, she moves effortlessly through jazz, contemporary pop, soul, rock, Italian favorites and unexpected mashups—creating performances that feel elegant and elevated without ever feeling predictable. What makes Jessa especially distinctive is the way she reimagines familiar music. A composer and arranger as well as a vocalist, she creates many of her own arrangements and mashups. A classic standard may take on a contemporary edge, a familiar pop song may reveal its jazz roots, and an Italian favorite can become something completely fresh. Her repertoire spans generations, but the sound is unmistakably her own. Jessa is equally comfortable creating an intimate atmosphere over cocktails and dinner or stepping forward and commanding the attention of a full room. She reads an audience naturally and knows how to let an evening build—from sophisticated background music to memorable performance moments that draw guests in. Her performances are highly customizable. Jessa can appear with piano or guitar, a jazz trio, or her full band, Jessa V & The Fringe, with repertoire and instrumentation tailored to the venue, audience and occasion. A native New Yorker, Jessa has performed at The Plaza, the Feast of San Gennaro, Ferragosto on Arthur Avenue and three times as part of New York City’s Columbus Day Parade. This New Year’s Eve marks her fifth consecutive year performing at The Mark Hotel, and she maintains a recurring engagement at Peck Slip Social in the Seaport. Jessa also offers L’Americana, a contemporary program of Italian and Italian-American favorites reimagined through the perspective of a modern New York artist. Sophisticated enough for the room. Distinctive enough to be remembered. Always unmistakably Jessa V.
