Darren

Growing up outside Chicago, Darren Jeffers, professionally known as DARREN, developed a passion for music at an early age. Influenced by his mother's love for Motown, country, and classic rock, alongside the unmistakable sounds of Chicago House and Hip-Hop, Darren began DJing at just 13 years old. What started with school dances and weddings quickly evolved into a career spanning more than two decades, major music festivals, professional sports, national television broadcasts, and some of the country's most recognizable nightlife destinations. Darren established himself as a fixture in Chicago's nightlife scene, holding down performances at renowned venues including TAO, PRYSM, TUNNEL, Bottled Blonde, El Hefe, and ROCBAR. Known for his versatility, seamless mixing, and ability to read any crowd, he became a sought-after open-format DJ, performing everywhere from the high-energy bars of Wrigleyville to the upscale nightclubs of River North. His talents also earned him a five-season run as the Official Chicago Bulls Pregame DJ, entertaining thousands of fans at the United Center. As his career expanded, Darren brought his signature sound to major markets including New York City, Miami, Boston, Scottsdale, Milwaukee, Anaheim, and Cleveland. In 2021, he relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, where he quickly became a recognizable name in the city's rapidly growing entertainment scene. Since arriving, he's performed at some of Nashville's most popular venues, including Palm Tree Club, Friends in Low Places, Nudie's Honky Tonk, and Category 10, while also providing entertainment for official after-parties featuring Bad Bunny, 50 Cent, and the Backstreet Boys. Darren's career reached new heights with appearances during CBS's "New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash," performing as part of the nationally televised celebration reaching millions of viewers. His ability to command a crowd and seamlessly transition between musical genres has also made him a trusted choice for high-profile corporate events and live entertainment productions. In 2024, Darren teamed up with fellow DJ Rod Youree to form BRDWY, a country-meets-EDM duo bringing a fresh perspective to both genres. Their high-energy edits and remixes quickly gained traction across major DJ record pools, reaching DJs throughout the United States and Canada. The duo's momentum led to a performance at EDC Las Vegas 2025 on the YeeDC Stage, one of electronic dance music's most celebrated festival platforms. In 2025, Darren also performed at the historic MLB Speedway Classic in Bristol, Tennessee, the first Major League Baseball game ever held in the state. Entertaining fans on the Fan Zone Stage during an event drawing more than 90,000 attendees, Darren was part of an entertainment lineup featuring Jake Owen, Timothy Wayne, Reyna Roberts, and Adam Doleac, with Tim McGraw and Pitbull headlining the pregame festivities. Building on that momentum, 2026 brought another standout year. During CMA Fest, Darren served as a DJ and host for Billboard's programming at Luke Combs' Category 10, helping keep the energy flowing between appearances and performances by artists including Dan + Shay, Tucker Wetmore, The Red Clay Strays, and The Band Perry. His growing corporate entertainment portfolio also included events supporting major recording artists such as Nelly, Tyler Hubbard, Uncle Kracker, Gretchen Wilson, and Blanco Brown. Beyond the DJ booth, Darren is also the founder of Volume Events, a Nashville-based, full-service event production company specializing in audio, lighting, video, staging, custom scenic design, and immersive event experiences. His understanding of both performance and production brings an additional level of professionalism and creativity to every event. With over 20 years behind the decks, Darren has built a career defined by adaptability, musical knowledge, and an undeniable connection with his audience. From intimate nightclubs and exclusive private events to professional sports arenas, national broadcasts, and major festival stages, his mission remains the same: deliver an unforgettable experience, every single time. No gimmicks. No boundaries. It's Just Darren.
