Winter is one of the best times to visit Chicago. While the temperatures continue to drop and the city turns winter white, there is still plenty to see and do during this time of year. If you are traveling to Chicago this season for work or play, EVA has created a list of our top 5 things to do during a Chicago winter. Rest assured, our favorite spots and sights are definitely ones you won't want to miss!

1. 360 Chicago

Going to Chicago for the first time and wanting to see all of the city? One of the coolest ways to view the skyline is by visiting 360 Chicago. Starting on the ground floor, your experience will begin with walking through Chicago's history and diving into a few culturally rich neighborhoods. If heights don't scare you, take the elevators up 94 floors and be wowed by a 360-degree view of Chicago's skyline and stunning lakefront views. The observation deck even has interactive touch screens, which are ready to teach you about Chicago's architectural history. You can even see 4 states from the 94th floor!

2. Jazz up your night at The Green Mill

Of course, EVA couldn't pass up an opportunity to share about an iconic entertainment venue and great live music. Located on Broadway in Uptown Chicago, the legendary Jazz Club and Cocktail Lounge, The Green Mill, has become known for its jazz music and poetry performances. Paying homage to Chicago-style jazz, The Green Mill is the perfect hot spot to experience the Southern-style soul and blues jazz that revolutionized small clubs in the city many years ago.

3. Deep dive into Chicago eats and deep-dish pizza

You cannot visit Chicago and not grab a bite of authentic Deep Dish pizza. Considered the oldest family name in Chicago pizza, Lou Malnati's history is as rich as its pizza's flavor. Started in early 1970s Chicago, Lou Malnati's Pizzeria became a household name.

4. "Chicago, Chicago!" Catch a Broadway show at the Chicago Theatre

One of the greatest experiences is catching a Broadway show. Grab a ticket and be mesmerized by incredible acting, musical scores, choreography, and staging in the iconic Chicago Theatre. The landmark venue is an icon, being the first large, lavish movie palace in America. With five Tony-winning theater companies in Chicago and the country's greatest comedy scene, Chicago is a must-visit for lovers of the theater.

5. Ice Skating at Maggie Daley Park

While seeing a Chicago must-do, The Bean, take a quick 6-minute walk across Millennium Park to Maggie Daley Park. Sharpen the blades and lace up your skates because ice skating at the Maggie Daley Ice Ribbon is one of the most fun ways to celebrate the winter season while on vacation. Overlooked by towering skyscrapers in the heart of Downtown Chicago, this magical activity is sure to bring festive fun to your visit.
