Sandra Love started Sandra Love & The Reason in Aug 2017, with 3 other locals looking to start an original project. Producing 2 albums, and hitting local spots like BMC , Dmacs, and Tipitinas, layed the foundation for what they continue to build today. SLATR has had the honor of opening for The New Orleans Suspects and George Porter Jr and the Runnin Pardners during the pandemic, at a speakeasy music venue called the Trash Pile. In 2022, Fête Du Void because the first official festival for the act, and came during the band’s debut on the world famous radio station, WWOZ.
