Shawn Lacy can’t escape the pull of the stage. And the singer-songwriter doesn’t want to. Upon moving to Nashville from Central Pennsylvania more than a decade ago, Shawn burned up stages throughout Music City’s honky-tonk district, fronting a band that mixed rock with country. The guys he played with ultimately drifted off in search of other pursuits – but not Shawn.
It was the best decision he ever made. Since those early bar days, he’s evolved into a passionate solo artist, a singer with the grit and rasp of a Seger or a Springsteen and the songwriting to match. Shawn’s a music lifer, and that commitment drew the attention of no less than Rolling Stone, who named him one of their Artists to Watch on the strength of a pair of self-titled EPs. His song “Wild Heart” also garnered national attention from Rolling Stone and became a fan favorite, an anthem for free spirits everywhere.
