The Blue Roses is a contemporary dance band with a profound love and passion for all things that make you move and/or groove. Based in Austin, their members have graced stages throughout the world and take their Texan-attitude with them everywhere they go.

With roots in soul and funk much like the Half Moons (their LA-based counterpart), their specialty lies in connecting the dots from the timeless sounds of Marvin Gaye to the modern soul of Sharon Jones. They seamlessly move between and mix up genres, all while keeping the dance floor alive and connected.  Despite their love of funk and soul, The Blue Roses repertoire list expands far beyond these narrow genres, moving through the decades to find songs that satisfy broader crowds of varying tastes and styles.

Introducing some of the hottest, fresh and young talent from Central Texas, the Rubies is the newest and most exciting addition to the Dart Collective family. Bridging and melding genres that range from soulful breakouts like Stevie Wonder and Dionne Warwick to classic and modern disco from the Bee Gees and Dua Lipa to R&B icons like The Fugees and Drake, this is a band built for parties.  If it has a beat and a melody you simply can’t get out of your head, it’s more than likely they love to play it too!

Chingy, who single handedly influenced cultural slang with “thurr” and “hurr” following the smash Billboard Hot 100 hit“Right Thurr,” achieved superstardom success with seven other Hot 100 hits, including “Holidae In,” “One Call Away” and many more. McBride is the Artistic Director of the historic Newport Jazz Festival, New Jersey Performing Arts center (NJPAC) and the TD James Moody Jazz Festival, and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. Christian is also a respected educator and advocate as the Artistic Director of Jazz House KiDS, and the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Summer Sessions. In addition to consistent touring, McBride hosts NPR's “Jazz Night in America” and "The Lowdown: Conversations With Christian" on SiriusXM. Whether behind the bass or away from it, Christian McBride is always of the music. Sen Morimoto is a Japanese American singer / multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Chicago. His mix of jazz and hip-hop production, spoken-word rap and pop sensibilities form a super-genre of modern songwriting and experimental grooves. 

Sen has spent years collaborating with all scenes in Chicago from rap (Pivot Gang), Pop (KAINA), Jazz (Resavoir), Indie (Lala Lala), etc… He’s a conduit to all the different scenes and it goes beyond making music. He’s a label head (Sooper Records), an Activist (was on the front page of the Chicago Tribune for it in 2020) and is also a part of the poetry and writing scene.

The Revolution -- Wendy Melvoin, Lisa Coleman, Bobby Z, BrownMark and Dr. Fink -- is most commonly known as the versatile band behind the music icon, Prince. Merging funk, rock n' roll, rhythm and blues, pop & psychedelia genres, the band is considered to be one of the most successful music acts of all time. The Revolution rose to international fame and prominence in the mid 1980s with Purple Rain, a rock operatic project centered around Prince that catapulted him and the group to instant stardom. The project consisted of two parts: a studio film and an accompanying soundtrack/album. The film was a box office smash hit, while the soundtrack is regarded by many as one of the greatest albums of all time. The record, Purple Rain, was recently inducted into the Library of Congress to be persevered for generations to come. After the summer of 1985, The Revolution soon found themselves to be a global phenomenon.

Sondre is a Los Angeles-based Norwegian singer, songwriter, film score composer and artist. His eclectic and melodic debut, Faces Down, written and recorded at 16, was named one of the most remarkable introductions of 2002 by Rolling Stone, also winning a Norwegian Grammy for Best Newcomer. Over the past two decades, Lerche has released nine studio albums, toured with the likes of Air, Stereolab, Elvis Costello and St Vincent, appeared on David Letterman, and composed numerous film scores for soundtracks including the 2007 Steve Carell/Juliette Binoche hit movie Dan In Real Life.

Twenty-Twenty was a busy year for Lerche, returning home to his Norway amidst the pandemic and releasing his ninth studio album Patience. The album earned 3 Norwegian Grammy nominations and has been met with critical acclaim from Stereogum, Paste, SPIN,  American Songwriter, and Under The Radar among others.

Having spent over a decade diligently honing his chops and collaborating with an assortment of transatlantic outfits - not least Damon Albarn's mighty Gorillaz, Pauli The PSM recognized as one of the “Top 100 Drummer’s in the World,” has also assumed the role of music director for Jamie xx, FKA twigs, Harry Styles and Maggie Rogers.

Pauli’s debut EP and Short Film “The Idea of Tomorrow”, featuring Idris Elba, solidified the launch of his live shows with an opening slot for Sampha’s Mercury Prize-winning “Process” album tour. When he’s not on stage, in the studio or modeling, London-born Pauli is the co-founder and a resident DJ at monthly NYC party BackToLife.

Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, director, and muse Niia appears and disappears with all of the silent pomp and circumstance of a ghostly succubus or a nightclub chanteuse in some Lynchian fever dream on a spaceship. At the same time, she’s not just on screen…No, she’s also behind-the-camera, pulling the strings, and playing god with the emotions of any voyeur curious enough to listen, watch, and feel. She’s completely tapped in, yet wholly removed from this world. Rather, she’s sequestered in her own kingdom of doubt, anxiety, lust, karma, and sense of self.

If you’re looking for drama, it’s there in her self-produced music, self-directed videos, evocative lyrics, and smoky vocals. Throughout her fruitful independent career, spanning three EPs and multiple collaborations, Madison has earned accolades from The New York Times, NPR, The FADER, and Pitchfork, who named her a Rising Artist in 2018. Her genre-bending work has led to Questlove dubbing her early sound “soul-appella.” In addition to a stirring performance on the renowned COLORS Studio platform, McFerrin has also performed at Lincoln Center, Central Park SummerStage and BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn, and shared stages with the likes of De La Soul, Gallant, and The Roots. Off the stage, Madison’s music has been featured in episodes of Comedy Central’s Broad City and HBO’s Random Acts of Flyness. Working at the intersection of artistry and community building, McFerrin co-curated programming for the BRIC Jazz Festival in 2021, and in 2022, aligned her MAD LOVE initiative with the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy to present three installments of Summer Fridays—a series focused on themes of RELEASE, RESTORE & REJOICE

KAINA is a first-generation Latina, born and raised in Chicago. Since the release of her debut EP sweet asl in 2016, she has created generational music that surpasses borders, a unified expression of her native Chicago coupled with her Venezuelan and Guatemalan heritage. From collaborating with peers like Saba, The O’My’s, and Sen Morimoto, and through multidisciplinary work around the city with various organizations, she has found a sound for herself that is gentle, yet full of intent. A listener can feel the intimacy resonating in her lyrics, as she pens odes about love, legacy, and ancestry, and how those concepts become more complex as one grows older. Her 2019 album Next to the Sun (Sooper Records) was featured in Pitchfork, Fader, Teen Vogue, and NPR and resulted in her touring as support with Cuco, Sleater-Kinney, and Durand Jones and the Indications. From Rock & Roll to the broken roads, the journey that led them to become Generation Radio. Made up of musical legends, 2 time Grammy award-winning bassist Jay Demarcus of Rascal Flatts, Jason Scheff, lead vocalist and bass player for the multi-platinum band Chicago for over 30 years, drummer Steve Ferrone of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and joined by Chris Rodriguez and Tom Yankton.  In the beginning of 2020 the band got together, with the intent to form a supergroup with a purpose, to bring 80’s rock and classic music back to life.  The group recorded their debut album of all original songs, and are thrilled to release it soon while continuing to rock shows.

As young boys, Christopher and Taylor Malpass soaked up the music of their granddad’s phonograph records. Christopher earned his first talent show trophy at age 7, and Taylor was playing mandolin by the time he was 10.  In their teens and early 20’s they were invited by Country Music icon, Merle Haggard, to perform as his opening act.  They traveled and recorded with Hag for the next 7 years.
