Michael recently played at our company appreciation party in front of 1000+ people and did an absolute great job. He is a very talented musician that kept the crowd engaged the whole time. I plan to hire Michael to play at future events that we host and highly recommend for you to do as well.

Shelby Fietz - Pro Petro Services, Inc

We hired Michael for a corporate cocktail reception in Austin, TX. He was responsive, punctual and wonderful to work with. He created a great environment and vibe for our party and guests really loved the music.

Erin Rust - Fox Rothschild LLP

Perfect...couldn't have been better! I'm the mother of the groom. The welcome party was near Fredericksburg, TX the evening before the wedding. It was outdoors. I hired Michael Kelton to perform for 3-hours and to also bring another musician. So we had an acoustic duo. Guests of all ages enjoyed GREAT music, danced if they wanted, and we could still hear conversations. Michael played guitar and Keith Davis joined him on dobro and vocal harmonies. Michael arrived early, brought everything they needed, and handled the set-up without assistance. He was an excellent communicator and very professional throughout the process...made it so easy! He and the bride discussed the music selections in advance. I can't take credit for finding Michael. The bride did extensive research to find just the right fit, and Michael and Keith didn't disappoint!

spjörk (pronounced “spee-YORK”) (just making sure you remember!) performs high-energy mashups, medleys and remixes of dance, pop and rock tunes from the ’80s through today — all played with a fun twist that makes your old favorites sound fresh again.

We’re talking about the freewheeling fun of old-school funk; the remixed mashups of DJs; the four-on-the-four flavor of dance/pop music; and the lo-fi edge of indie rock.

We hope you’re hungry. Grab your spjörk and dig in!

A danceable delicacy of mashups, medleys and remixes. Best eaten with a spork.

Spjörk

This is the absolute best band. They play a mix of old school 80s/90s and current top 40. All of this with a mash-up twist. Our event went seamless. They were professional, energetic, and everything we could’ve hoped for. Everyone commented on how fun the band was and how talented the musicians were. If you are looking for live music for an event, no need to look any further. Book them NOW, you will not regret it!! 5+ STARS!!

Collin B - n/a

Fantastic experience at a company retreat/private party with the band Spjork. They are just so much FUN- the mashups are clever and the wide range of music they cover has something for everyone. By the end of the evenings they had everyone up dancing. Their performance is joyful, energetic and fun- and they are easy to work with- 10/10 would absolutely recommend. Great range of music, they take requests and the mashups are just a blast!

Sally C - Withheld

The band was AMAZING! from contracting all the way through to their outstanding entertainment. Our franchisees loved them and Spjork did a excellent job engaging with our crowd throughout their performance. I would highly recommend them for any type of event you are having.

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Abigail Dowd grew up under the longleaf pines in the Sandhills region of North Carolina. Known for her storytelling and command of an audience, she has been called “a writer of the highest caliber” (The All Scene Eye). Her soulful voice and unique classical guitar style caught the attention of Acoustic Guitar Magazine, which described the album “Not What I Seem”: “The guitar-driven introspective folk of the 1970s [as] a touchstone, but so are blues and roots rock ’n’ roll.”
Pulling from her heritage of storytelling and determination, Dowd weaves hints of Celtic melodies with the soulful gospel of the south to create a sound that dances between folk, rock and blues.

I first discovered KJ playing in Hawaii and knew I had to have her come to the Bay Area and play at my annual company event. She did not disappoint. Her guitar playing skills, voice and wide selection of genres made our event memorable. She is fantastic! I refer to her as the best-undiscovered talent.

Matt Morey - Calstone Holdings LLC

We hired Kimberly June and her partner to play as a duo during our rehearsal dinner in June. Kimberly- or KJ- as many call her - was easy to work with. As soon as they started playing everyone loved their music! I had multiple guests come up and say “we love every song they are playing!” She took charge of choosing the music that fit the vibe of the event perfectly. I would highly recommend her and her partner!

I hired Soul69 to DJ at NCA’s annual fundraising gala, and she knocked it out of the park for us! NCA is a nonprofit that serves children who have been abused or exposed to violence, and our keynote presentations cover really heavy topics. Soul69 helped us to beautifully transition the last hour of our evening into a true celebration honoring the children we serve by bringing fun, upbeat and appropriate music to our event. The attendees (and our staff) loved it! We’ll definitely be hiring her again next year. :)
