Laughing & Development is an improv workshop for teams, led by professional comedians and improvisers. Your group plays a series of fun, low-stakes improv games that get people laughing, talking and working together. No acting experience needed, and nobody has to be funny. The laughter is a byproduct of being in the moment.

We run it two ways:

Improv for Team Building
The easy way to have fun with your team. Silly, energizing, and the kind of team bonding people actually talk about afterward. Great for offsites, kickoffs and team meetings.

Improv for Professional Development
Same laughs, sharper skills. Every exercise ties back to the workplace: better listening, stronger presence, and the confidence to think fast under pressure. Great for leadership programs, sales teams and L&D days.

What to expect
- Before the event, your organizer completes a short pre-event survey about the group, the goals and anything to avoid. We pick the facilitator and tailor the session from there.
- Sessions run from a 10-minute energizer to a full-hour workshop, in person or on Zoom, Teams or Google Meet.
- Everything is workplace-friendly. The games are low-stakes, so the quietest person in the room can join in without feeling put on the spot.
- Your group leaves with a few simple tools, like "yes, and" and active listening, that they can use in their next meeting.

Why it works
A single laughter session measurably lowers cortisol, the main stress hormone (meta-analysis of 8 studies, PLOS One, 2023). Across 49 studies of 8,532 workers, positive workplace humor is tied to better performance, stronger team cohesion and less burnout (Journal of Managerial Psychology, 2012).

Who we've worked with
Laugh.Events has run comedy and improv experiences for teams at Amazon, Lowe's, Google, Meta, Spotify, Salesforce, Charter and Rutgers Business School. Founder Kevin Hubschmann spent 7 years in enterprise SaaS sales before building Laugh.Events, and has produced 500+ team events.

"I was genuinely amazed by how Katie carried herself and led the session. It uplifted our team morale in such a positive, refreshing way and brought us closer together through laughter." Clarisa W., Lowe's

"I really enjoyed how the instructor tied in every exercise with how it's important in real life and in the workplace." Jordan J., Imubit

Improv team building and professional development workshops, led by professional comedians

Laughing & Development by Laugh.Events

Your team plays a series of fun, low-stakes improv games led by a professional comedian. It's silly, it's energizing, and nobody needs to be funny or have done improv before. Built for offsites, kickoffs, holiday parties and team meetings where you want people laughing and connecting. Runs from a 10-minute energizer to a full hour. Your organizer completes a pre-event survey so we can match the right facilitator to your group.

Improv for Team Building

Same laughs, sharper skills. Your team works through improv exercises that build real workplace skills: active listening, adaptability, presence, and thinking fast under pressure. The facilitator ties every exercise back to the job, so people leave with tools they can use in their next meeting. Built for leadership programs, sales teams, new-hire cohorts and L&D days. Typically 45 to 60 minutes, tailored from a pre-event survey.

Improv for Professional Development

We've worked with Laugh.Events for a few years now, across our NYC, Denver, SF, and Toronto offices plus fully virtual events for our distributed teams. They've run applied improv workshops through their Laughing & Development program, live comedy shows, and comedy gameshows for us – and their team always matches the format to the room instead of pushing one package. Booking is easy, the performers are genuinely funny and know how to read a corporate crowd. They're our go-to for team events.

Rhiannon - Gusto

We brought Laugh.Events in to kick off our district leadership retreat, with leaders from all seven of our schools and departments in the room. The applied improv session went great and was really well received – people had fun, got out of their comfort zones, and it was the perfect way to start the day. A genuinely engaging way to strengthen collaboration across our teams.

Cass - Darien Public Schools

We're a remote-first company, so getting three of our Customer Experience teams together in person for an offsite was a rare opportunity. Our Laugh.Events instructor, Katie, did an amazing job customizing an applied improv workshop to our group. She kept everyone engaged and got people talking across teams that don't normally work together day to day. Easy to plan on our end too. Great option if you want something beyond a standard team building activity.

Meg - Comply

From the beginning, Laugh.Events was a joy to work with. They put in so much effort to make sure they curate the perfect experience for you based on your needs. The talent they provided were exceptional. I cannot wait to plan an event with them again soon.

WELCOME AND TAKEAWAY GIFTS

I just wanted to thank you again for your assistance last week and bearing the storm to get us our candles. They were lovely and everyone enjoyed them! It was a pleasure working with you and we will keep Wicks Nola in mind next time we are in New Orleans.

Grace Costello - Verde Events

I had the pleasure of collaborating with Wicks NOLA Candle Company to create personalized candles for a client event. I highly recommend them based on their exceptional professionalism and attention to detail. Our request was for customized candles with a specific logo and a unique scent blend that matched the theme of the event. Wicks NOLA exceeded our expectations in both aspects. The scent they crafted not only matched the event's theme perfectly but also lingered pleasantly, enhancing the ambiance of the event. I was most impressed with their turnaround time; they were prompt and met our tight schedule without compromising quality. Working with Wicks NOLA Candle Company was an absolute delight. Their commitment to delivering high-quality, customized products is evident, and they ensure a seamless process from design to delivery. I look forward to collaborating with them again on future projects and strongly recommend them to anyone looking for top-tier custom candles.

Lakeisha Craft - Give Me NOLA

First off, I chose them after hearing they were one of Oprah's Favorite Things. I purchased a variety of her fragrances, in candle form, room spray and diffuser to try them out. And after loving them, especially New Orleans Lady and Lower Ninth Ward scents, we chose Wicks Nola for our big event. We ended up having a very short window from order to event date. But, WN's customer service was understanding AND delivered. They went above and beyond and I would absolutely recommend them for all candle and fragrance needs with no reservation.

Red's Western brings two activations to your event: a custom hat bar and a live leather branding station. Guests design their own cowboy hat and press their initials into genuine leather — with a hot iron, in front of their eyes, at the event.

The Leather Branding Station
A hot iron pressed into real leather, live on site. Guests choose a leather good — passport wallets, key tags, hat bands, dopp kits, koozies, luggage tags, coasters, valet trays — then watch their initials, your logo, or the event mark burn in. It is the moment that stops people mid-conversation. Pairs with the hat bar or runs as a standalone activation.

The Custom Hat Bar
Guests pick their hat shape, color, bands, feathers, and accessories. A stylist works one-on-one with each person, then hot-brands initials or a symbol directly into the felt. They put it on and walk out wearing it. Two tiers: Rancher and Cattleman. Hot branding included in every tier.

Who You're Working With
Red's Western is led by Vanessa Vaught, a fourth-generation Texas leatherworker. Her great-great-grandfather opened a harness and bridle shop in Rockwall in 1926. She has been working leather since 2013. That heritage is behind every iron press at the station.

Red's Western is a sister company of Double or Nothing Two-Step, Austin's most recognized country dance instruction company (Texas Monthly, Southern Living, Garden & Gun, PBS, Tribeza, Austin Monthly). Book both and your group gets a full western activation: a dance lesson followed by the hat bar.

Fully staffed. Setup, guest flow, and breakdown handled. Travel included throughout the Austin area. Groups from 25 to 500+.

Flash Party Activation New York

Innoscent Malik

Fin has been writing & sharing poetry for over a decade. From typewriter activations at events ranging from weddings, to night markets, bookstores & music festivals, Fin likes to think that there is hopefully a little something for everyone within the words of a poem. All you have to do is provide them with a word, prompt, or story, then watch the magic typewriter keys conjure up a poem for you or a loved one.
